Storm in a teacup: the Mystery of Who Bit Beyonce

This is how a storm in a teacup started. In a recent interview in GQ magazine, Tiffany Hadish revealed that she saw a unnamed female celebrity walk right up to Beyonce and bit her on the face, at a party she had attended. The female celebrity was probably on drugs. It is not even clear which event Hadish was talking about, but some speculate it to be a Jay-Z concert from late last year. Anyway, somehow people got interested, and media outlets have been asking celebrities and their representatives about the incident, of which most responded that they knew nothing about it.

Several celebrities, including Lena Dunham, even took to twitter to post their denial of being that unnamed celebrity or having any knowledge of that incident.

Which sounds like the perfect storm in a teacup. I mean, Hollywood has never been about serious stuff, but in a time when the world is facing multiple crises and there are lots of debates to be had on various issues, this is what you want to waste your time on? I mean, come on!

Beyonce Knowles Most Powerful Star?

The latest Forbes Celebrity 100 has named Beyonce Knowles the most powerful star in the world.

I have to say that I am a bit surprised. She certainly isn't 'powerful' in the circles that I move in. If anything, her 'power' seems to be on the decrease amongst my friends. Even Justin Bieber has more 'power'.

So who should be the most powerful star? Ellen Degeneres, I think, just from the top of my head. Or maybe it's actually Harry Styles, looking at it from another angle.

Beyonce's New, Shorter Hair

Beyonce has debuted a dramatic new look - a short hairstyle. Who would have thought!

"I'm so happy because the extensions give women the wrong expectation of what their hair should look like - it's great for onstage, but everyday women shouldn't have or want to have five pounds of hair on their head. This hair is more natural, more realistic," her stylist Rita Hazan explained to Us Weekly.

I think it's great that Beyonce is taking control of her hair. Hollywood is too often image-obsessed, and wrestling back a bit of freedom from that is always good.

Beyonce and Jay-Z Can't Even Holiday in Peace?

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have come under fire for spending their fifth anniversary holiday in Cuba. Some Cuban-Americans have apparently slammed the couple as insensitive because people are still 'fighting for their freedom' there.

For some background, even Amazing Race Australia had a Cuba leg on its most recent series. Nobody slammed any of the contestants as 'insensitive'.

Maybe, by this reasoning, anybody visiting most of Africa and the Middle East could also be 'insensitive'. After all, gay people still get jailed over there.

It's just pure PC madness.

Perez Hilton's 'Best Breakup Songs'

Perez Hilton has released a 'best breakup songs' list on his website, featuring 30 of his picks of this category.

And I have to say I don't agree with many of them. Number one was Beyonce's Irreplaceable, which was okay, but far from 'best' in my opinion. I hate Pink's Just Like A Pill for obvious reasons. Finally, Demi Lovato's Give Your Heart a Break probably isn't even a breakup song at all.

Leave Beyonce Alone!

Beyonce Knowles continues to suffer from the consequences of allegedly lip-syncing the American National Anthem at President Obama's inauguration. Luckily, many other artists have come to her backing.

We should all leave her alone, I think. Everybody has their ups and downs. It isn't easy trying to be perfect all the time.
